Special Projects Grant
Members can apply for up to £5,000 for one off activities that further the understanding and use of economics.
Funded examples include seminars, workshops and mini-conferences, research events and other activities that support teaching and learning in economics. It does not include financial support for research projects.
Members of the Society can apply for up to £5,000. It must be an activity taking place within 12 months of application. Applications are considered three times a year – January, May and September. The closing dates for submissions are 31 January, 31 May and 30 September.
Applicants must be members of the Society and proposed activity must not have been supported in the last three years. Applicants should complete the form including; an outline of the activity, how it meets the scheme’s objectives, a clear budget (including evidence of co-funding where relevant), draft timetable/programme and a business plan.
Successful applicants must promote the Society’s involvement and submit a post event report and set of accounts within two months of its date.
Members can apply for funding for outreach events to encourage more students to study economics at university.
Members can apply for up to £600 for small grants to support independent economic research.
Members can apply for up to £500 to support those who are presenting an economic paper at a conference or are acting as the main speaker.
