Prof Estelle Cantillon

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Estelle Cantillon is a Professor of Economics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, an associate member at the Toulouse School of Economics and a research fellow at CEPR. Her research lies at the boundary between market design and industrial organization, with applications to procurement, energy and environmental markets, exchanges and school choice. She has been a Managing Editor of The Economic Journal since October 2016.

Prof Nezih Guner

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Nezih Guner is Professor of Economics at CEMFI (Madrid). He received his PhD in from University of Rochester in 2000. His research focuses on changing household structure and its consequences for public policy. He has also been working on how misallocation of resources across firms affects the macroeconomy and on the interaction between labour market frictions and firm dynamics.

Prof Rachel Kranton

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Rachel Kranton is the James B. Duke Professor of Economics at Duke University and Dean of the Social Sciences. She studies how institutions and the social setting affect economic outcomes. She develops theories of networks and has introduced identity into economic thinking. Her research contributes to many fields including microeconomics, economic development, and industrial organisation.

Prof Gilat Levy

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Gilat Levy is a Professor at the Economics department at LSE and has been a Managing Editor at The Economic Journal since Feb 1st 2018. Her research focuses on political economy and information economics. She was a board member for many journals such as the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, and Theoretical Economics.

Prof Francesco Lippi

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Francesco Lippi is a Professor of Economics at LUISS University and a Senior Fellow at the Einaudi Institute of Economics and Finance (EIEF). His research concerns monetary economics, inflation and the interactions between wage-setting and monetary institutions. He has served as a Joint Managing Editor of The Economic Journal since 2019 and previously as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Central Banking.

Prof Barbara Petrongolo

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Barbara Petrongolo is Professor of Economics at Queen Mary University, Director of the CEPR Labour Economics Programme and Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance of the London School of Economics. She has been a Managing Editor at The Economic Journal since 1 April 2018. She is an applied labour economist.

Prof Frederic Vermeulen

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Frederic Vermeulen is a Professor of Economics at the University of Leuven. He is a research fellow of the IFS (London) and the IZA (Bonn). His main research interests are in the economics of the household, with a focus on intra-household allocation and matching. He has been a Managing Editor of The Economic Journal since June 2012.

Prof Hans-Joachim Voth

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Hans-Joachim Voth is a Professor of Economics at the University of Zurich. He is an economic historian with interests in long-run growth, conflict, and the effects of culture. Hans-Joachim was an Editor of the European Review of Economic History, and of Explorations in Economic History; he has served as a Joint Managing Editor of the Economic Journal since 2015.

Ekaterina Zhuravskaya

Managing Editor of the Economic Journal

Ekaterina Zhuravskaya is a Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics (EHESS) and a CEPR research fellow. Her research contributes to the fields of political economics, economic history, and development economics. Her primary interests are in understanding economic, social, and political determinants as well as consequences of conflict and ethnic prejudice.
