The Bank of England would like to invite you to our webinar ‘Research at the Bank of England: opportunities for external researchers and PhD students’, on Monday 26 October 2020 from 3.30pm - 4.30pm (UK time, GMT).

This event is mainly aimed at PhD students who are interested in working at the Bank as researchers after they finish their studies or as interns during their studies, their academic supervisors, and mid-career researchers who are interested in joining the Bank.  The event will be held under the Chatham House rules and will be closed to the press.

Misa Tanaka (Head of Research) and Ambrogio Cesa-Bianchi (Research Advisor) will introduce the Bank of England Agenda for Research (BEAR), which was published in September.  The BEAR sets out the Bank’s key priority areas for future research, where we are also looking for collaboration with external researchers.  Misa and Ambrogio will also talk about our recruitment offering for researchers, including the PhD internship programme, PhD research programme, and career opportunities for experienced researchers.
