Third party events

Date: Tuesday 14 December 2021, 2.00PM - 4.00PM

Location: Online

Public understanding of economics is essential for democracy. It shapes people’s ability to assess economic performance and hold decision-makers accountable. In light of this, one recommendation from the Bean Review was that future provision of economic statistics should not only recognise its importance to effective policy-making but also that it is a wider public good which is key to the electorate’s ability to perform their function in the democratic process.

The talks begin at 2:00pm and will be preceded by the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Official Statistics Section at 1:55pm.

Online - joining instructions will be emailed to those registered.
Please note: the timing for this event is 2:00-4:00pm and the OSS AGM will take place at 1:55-2:00pm at the same MS Teams link. Those that wish to attend both this event and the AGM are more than welcome.
