Applications are invited from Members of the Society for financial assistance on a one-off basis for the support of activities that further the understanding and use of economics. Examples might include seminars, workshops and mini-conferences, events to disseminate research and policy findings, and activities that support teaching and learning in the subject.
The Society will not consider requests that exceed £5K and would in any case expect to see evidence of co-funding. Successful applicants would be required to submit a report on and a set of accounts covering the event within two months of its date. An full application should outline the proposed activity and how it relates to the objectives of the scheme, include a draft timetable or programme (as appropriate), and a business plan. All applications will be acknowledged.
Applications will be considered three times a year by January 20, May 20 and September 20 with decisions to be made within 28 days where possible.
