2008 Conference Publishers' Information

Next year’s annual conference of the Royal Economic Society is taking place at Warwick from the 17th to the 19th March 2008. It is expected to be a vibrant and an exciting conference. The format of the conference is the same as last year’s, running over three days. Confirmed Keynote Speakers are: Susan Athey (Harvard), Ernst Fehr (Zurich) and Hyun Shin (Princeton). It is expected that over 400 delegates will be attending the Conference next year.

The conference venue is the Ramphal Building at the University of Warwick. All the publishers’ exhibition stands will be adjacent to the concourse where delegates will have coffee, tea and lunch, thereby providing ample scope for the delegates to browse. This area is also very close to the lecture rooms where the plenary sessions and other parallel sessions will take place.

A complete list of the publishers exhibiting at the Conference will be available on our conference website with direct links to their websites. The printed Conference Programme Booklet will also include a list of publishers who register to exhibit.

Further promotion opportunities are also offered to publishers during this exciting conference. We are able to offer you the opportunity to include some promotional leaflets in the delegate’s pack and to place an advert in the Conference Programme Booklet.

You will be pleased to note that this year we will continue to charge the low price introduced for RES2007. However we have had to introduce a VAT charge on this amount.

We have limited space to allocate to publishers and in the event of excess demand we might have to limit the number of stands we can offer. The earlier you are able to indicate your interest in exhibiting the greater are your chances of being accommodated.

Costs for exhibitors

As compared to years prior to RES2007, exhibitors NO LONGER NEED to register separately as a delegate for the RES Conference, unless they wish to be residents. The charge of £500 (+VAT 17.5%) includes the registration fee (badge, lunch and refreshments over the three days). However, if exhibitors wish to stay overnight and/or to have dinner, then they will need to register at the same price as conference participants (see the fees).

Registration to exhibit will not be confirmed until the cheque payment or the bank transfer have been cleared.

Registration

Publishers wishing to exhibit at the Conference are required to complete the Publishers’ Registration Form (pdf format). Please download the form, complete it, attach your cheque or set up a bank transfer and post to the address given by the deadline of February 8th, 2008. Note that there is a late registration fee of £200 (+VAT) for cheques received after February 8th, 2008.
