The British Association for the Advancement of Science
Annual Festival of Science took place from 7-12 September at the
University of Leeds. This year, Section F (economics), under the
presidency of Professor Tony Atkinson, Warden of Nuffield College,
Oxford and President of the Royal Economic Society, featured a series
of presentations on the economics of equality, opportunity, poverty,
unemployment and social exclusion:
