Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics

The conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics (CHUDE) was set up by the Royal Economic Society in 1987 in collaboration with the Association of University Teachers of Economics. The purpose is to promote the study and teaching of economics in the United Kingdom. The Conferences comprises the Heads of Economics and related departments and units at universities in the United Kingdom. The conference meets twice a year in May and November and a standing committee (which usually meets two times per year) acts on behalf of the conference between the main meetings.

There are currently 98 institutions with memberships.
