Book Notes

The Book Notes that can be accessed from this website are a continuation of the Book Notes published up to 1998 in the pages of The Economic Journal. They are published under the names of their authors, which means that they can express opinions on the merits of the books and their content and do not just report books' contents.

Now that this site has been set up, it is intended to add new Book Notes approximately monthly. Once the site is running smoothly, it is intended to add references to Book Reviews and Notes published in the pages of The Economic Journal (available to subscribers here) so that the site can be used as a cumulative index. The text of these is available online to members of the Royal Economic Society elsewhere on Blackwell Publishers' website and issues of the journal over five years old are available from JSTOR.
