2. In order to search for the member you are looking for, all you need to do is enter any combination of either name, address or research interests and click the "Search" button. For example, if you are searching for Richard Smith using his name, you can enter any combination of the name, such as:

Richard,
Smith,
Richard Smith,
"Richard" and "Smith",
"Richard" or "Smith"

Some members are listed with initials as their first names. In order to search for these members, you will need to conduct the search using only the surname as using R Smith, for example, will not make the results any more specific. This means that when you are searching for a member e.g Richard Smith, you should always check all the results for R. Smith as well as skimming the results for the full name.

You will then receive a list of all the names of members that match your search criteria, along with the institution where they are based. Choose the member that you were looking for from the list by clicking on their name, and you will then be taken to the individual page, which shows the full member profile. If you would like to commence a new search there is a link back to the homepage from here.

A tip for searching: as the search results will include all members that match the keywords you have entered, it is wise to include as much information as possible e.g. if you just enter "Richard" you will receive results for all the instances of Richard within the site database. This could be hundreds. If you were to enter Richard Smith, however, the results will be narrowed down somewhat. This is the same for the address and the research interests information.

3.
If you receive 0 results for any particular search, all you need to do is click the back button and try a different variation of keywords and you should eventually receive some results. If you do not, the person you are looking for may not be a member, but if you are sure they are then all you need to do is contact the online helpdesk e-help@blackwellpublishing.com and we shall look into this for you.
